Accessibility Statement.
This site is built so everyone can use it, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, captions, or other assistive technology.
Our Standard
We design and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and aim for Level AAA text contrast throughout. As a public institution, Los Angeles City College is committed to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
What We Do
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content.
- Text colors meet a contrast ratio of at least 7:1 against their background.
- Pages use semantic headings, landmarks, and labeled form fields so screen readers can navigate them.
- Animation is subtle and turns off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Filters announce how many results are showing, and every list still works without JavaScript.
- Video we publish includes captions.
