Moises “Moy” Perez began teaching in spring 2011 at CSUN, where he volunteered to develop and teach seven eight-week film workshops for students who needed extra help with the technical side of filmmaking. From fall 2017 to spring 2019 he taught film workshops at LACC. At both schools his workshops covered analog film for the digital age, walking students through shooting on Super 8mm and 16mm film stock.
Moises blends classroom lectures with hands-on demonstrations to reinforce what students learn. He has worked in the film industry since 2012, mostly in advertising, as part of the production team on many TV commercials and short films.
