Shannon Fopeano is a Los Angeles–based TV writer and film professor. She is a member of the Writers Guild of America and a graduate of Northwestern University’s Radio/TV/Film department, the Disney/ABC Writing Program and the Stephens College MFA in TV and Screenwriting, where she has taught since 2019.
She started as a set PA on feature films, went on to produce game shows and reality TV for CBS and HGTV, and eventually wrote scripted TV for CBS, Hallmark and Disney Channel. As a writer and educator, Shannon is committed to greater inclusivity on screen. Her scripts often feature neurodivergent kids, true love and family crises, all drawn from raising three kids, believing love is the answer, and all those years in reality TV.
